Welcome to our new site! We have had a busy year to date with lots going on as always, the new website being one. We hope the new look will be easier to navigate, give you a better insight into all that is going on with The Newport and everything that we are involved with. This year we have seen a vast variety of customer old and new through our doors and as always, we couldn’t be more grateful for the continued support shown by all.
Our menus have had a refresh and whilst we have always loved the food we produce we really love the new menus, look and service to go alongside them. We have extended our wine list again and are proud of the selection of organic and biodynamic wines on offer. Our team have had the hardest of jobs sampling both and can certainly advise and keep you right. Your feedback as customers has been overwhelming and we are continually striving to ensure we hit the same mark with each visit.
Our team has grown in numbers and strength. We have further opportunities within the bar, restaurant and kitchen to further expand on this also. Whilst we have said farewell to a few known faces as they move on to other ventures, we wish them all well and welcome new faces amongst the team, we’re sure you’ll love them all too.
We have seen plentiful festivals and events that we have attended this year and they are all building in numbers also. Highlights for us this Summer has been Crail Food Festival, Dundee Flower & Food and our own Summer Festival. These events left us sold out and have certainly given us food for thought in our plans for next year. All events moving forward will be detailed within the website and on social media.
Within the area, we have all been excited about the opening of the V&A museum in Dundee. Looking back on the building from the edge of the Tay we have loved seeing its development evolving along with Dundee city front line. It’s been somewhat of a talking point for us all and finally, it is OPEN. We have been into the museum itself and the current exhibition Ocean Liners. We can confirm it has certainly been worth the wait. The building is visually as stunning on the inside as it is out. It is the To Do if you are staying with us.
